FIELD SERVICE
In our field service division our vehicles are equipped with state of the art diagnostics and testing equipment for all caterpillar machinery, thus making calibrations and dynos possible on site. Artisans have access to schematics and part numbers for all CAT machinery. Power inverters are also equipped making our vehicles “mobile workshops” and able to work in the most remote of places. All tools and power tools are on hand making the job possible without having to return to the workshop. We at Construction Mining Auto Electrical pride ourselves in being the best at what we do. Our co. was founded in 2006 by Phillip Knoetze who has had extensive experience in the construction and mining industries. Due to this experience, customized systems can be installed to customer requirements without compromising the machine’s performance or interfering with its ECM and error codes given out.
FIELD SERVICE
Workshops are equipped with testing facilities for all types of starters, alternators, regulators, rectifiers etc. With full computer printouts of results that are issued after testing. Battery testing facilities are also on hand. All vehicles are tested from bumper to bumper for any electrical faults before delivery of the vehicle with full reports given to the customer. A “work once” policy is applied in the company ensuring that the customer gets their vehicle back in the shortest time possible without having to bring it back for re-repairs. All artisans take pride in their work and no “shortcuts” are taken. Vehicles are always brought to standard and done in a neat and professional way.
Terms and Conditions of Service
Purchase Orders:
Purchase orders will be required for all jobs before any work will be carried out. Purchase orders should be part/service specific, listing all work/parts required. Con-Min Auto Electrical cc will respond to the customer within 7 days of receiving the purchase order/s to arrange a suitable time to carry out the work required. Under no circumstances will any work be carried out without an official company purchase order. Any work required other than that listed in the original purchase order document will have to be requested in writing and supported by an additional purchase order. Additional work will be carried out at Con-Min Auto Electrical cc’s earliest convenience depending on prior commitments/bookings
Quotes:
All spare parts/components will be quoted at shelf price and are not negotiable. Labour is quoted at a rate of SQ/hour with normal overtime calculations applied where necessary. Labour is an estimated quote and invoice may differ from quote due to unforeseen circumstances. All Quotes are valid for a period of no longer than 7 days from date of quote. Accommodation is not listed in quotes but where necessary will be charged for.
Travel:
Travel is charged per kilometer, and charged from Con-Min Auto Electrical cc Workshop to site and any travel on site. If a sleep out is necessary then travel to and from the accommodation will also be for the customer’s account. In the event of incorrect information or directions to site is given, the customer will be held liable for any extra travel costs incurred at the normal travel rate charged. Due to the instability of the fuel price, Con-Min Auto Electrical cc reserves the right to adjust the travel rate accordingly. In addition, any costs incurred through toll gates will be for the customer’s account.
Warranties:
Warranties on service/workmanship will be held for a period of 3months, and does not cover negligence or inappropriate operation. Warranties on components are held by the manufacturers and not by Con-Min Auto Electrical cc. Warranties are limited to faulty components only and do not cover the cost of removal and replacement (including travel costs) and/or any consequential damage.
Sub-contracting:
Should Con-min Auto Electrical cc be sub-contracted by a company, the company requesting the work to be done will be held liable for any invoices pertaining to work done by Con-Min Auto Electrical cc regardless of whether or not the company has invoiced their customer. The company will furthermore still be bound by their terms with Con-Min Auto Electrical cc, that being C.O.D or 30 days – whichever is applicable. <br><
