In our field service division our vehicles are equipped with state of the art diagnostics and testing equipment for all caterpillar machinery, thus making calibrations and dynos possible on site. Artisans have access to schematics and part numbers for all CAT machinery. Power inverters are also equipped making our vehicles “mobile workshops” and able to work in the most remote of places. All tools and power tools are on hand making the job possible without having to return to the workshop. We at Construction Mining Auto Electrical pride ourselves in being the best at what we do. Our co. was founded in 2006 by Phillip Knoetze who has had extensive experience in the construction and mining industries. Due to this experience, customized systems can be installed to customer requirements without compromising the machine’s performance or interfering with its ECM and error codes given out.
FIELD SERVICE
Workshops are equipped with testing facilities for all types of starters, alternators, regulators, rectifiers etc. With full computer printouts of results that are issued after testing. Battery testing facilities are also on hand. All vehicles are tested from bumper to bumper for any electrical faults before delivery of the vehicle with full reports given to the customer. A “work once” policy is applied in the company ensuring that the customer gets their vehicle back in the shortest time possible without having to bring it back for re-repairs. All artisans take pride in their work and no “shortcuts” are taken. Vehicles are always brought to standard and done in a neat and professional way.

We have top diagnostic equipment for caterpillar and all commonly used modules. We have fully stocked vehicles for on site repairs and very seldom need to return to the workshop to carry out shaven harnesses or burnt wiring as this normally extends the cost and prolongs time of repair .All our vehicles have invertors, so 220v is available for drilling, grinding and lap top back ups which allows us to do on site repairs right next to the machine.
We only use weatherproof connectors and under no circumstances do we run jippo wires because if a harness is an open circuit the cause has to be found and repaired with preventative action .Harnesses is one of our specialties and therefore use only the necessary amount of consumables to keep the cost affordable to the customer. The harnesses are covered in nylon braided sleeving which has high durability and strength and prevents the harness from shaving through. It has been proven that incorrect installation can cause more damage to machine e.g., the sleeving can shave into the chassis ,injectors pipes and cast aluminum therefore we believe strongly in securing the harness correctly and advice regular electrical maintenance which is a preventative measure against any future problems .We offer this top quality service to our customers.
Regular maintenance on machines can be scheduled by customer and with planning he can provide less down time and more production.
Although we cannot guarantee any failure on components we guarantee our work to be top of its class and we can detect a fault on a machine which is bound to fail.
Construction Mining has a good reputation for building stimulators e.g. Engine transmission, cordless trailer plug testing scroll boxes and much more.Many construction and mining companies have their own mechanics and we are there to assist them when testing newly built electric motors before installation.
We also do building of dyno stations for transmissions and engines. We will provide efficient testing and monitoring for above mentioned as this gives companies the choice to cut down costs.
